The judges took their places for the first time yesterday as they arrived in Birmingham for the start of the X Factor auditions.

With most of us worrying that the fashion war was over thanks to previous judges Cheryl and Danni leaving the show, it seems there was no need to worry.

Going head to head in the fashion stakes from day one, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos started battle.

Kelly clearly takes round one with a yellow crop top, to show off her tiny waist and short black skirt. Tulisa chose to go down a different route (as in she didn’t wear a dress) but we do like the quirky choice. We can’t wait to see what the two of them pull out their hats for round two!

Olly Murs also stepped out, looking dapper, as the new Xtra Factor co-host. Caroline Flack joined Olly in a simple block colour look.
