It seemed women are being celebrated everywhere this week as both Glamour and Harper’s Bazaar held their Women of the Year Awards.

In London, Harper’s Bazaar celebrated fashion icons including Sarah Burton, who scooped the Designer of the Year Award, Tom Ford, who took the Man in a Woman’s World Award and supermodels Helena Christensen, Yasmin Le Bon, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, who were awarded the Fashion Icons of the Year.

Jessie J wore a daring purple jumpsuit for the evening at Claridge’s Hotel and took home the Breakthrough of the Year Award, while Florence Welch, who was recently voted as one of Harper’s Best Dressed of the Year, went for a more ethereal look in a sheer gold sweeping gown.

Across the pond in Hollywood it was Jennifer Lopez who stole the show at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards. With a nude thigh-high split Atelier Versace dress, JLO won the All Star Award. Glee star Lea Michelle also chose a nude gown, by Jenny Packham and Jessica Alba, who made an appearance, chose a Tory Birch dress for a more chic look.

The other Jennifer on the night to show off some leg was Miss Aniston, who also wore a Versace gown. There to present her friend Chelsea Handler with an award, she definitely grabbed the attention!
