After the disappearance of Marc Jacobs’ S/S collection a week back, we didn’t think crimes against fashion could get any worse. It was recently reported through Twitter that $400,000+ of Louis Vuitton merchandise had been stolen from the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. We can’t help but draw the conclusion that there is a conspiracy against the talented Marc Jacobs!
According to Vogue, a gang of masked thieves held five employees hostage while they filled trucks with the luxury goods, consisting mainly of handbags. No further details have been made available as the investigation is still on-going yet we can’t help wonder if it was the same gang responsible for the earlier Marc Jacobs hijack? Of course, joking and fashionable criminals aside, we hope the French police get to the bottom of this terrible crime as quickly as possible.
