It’s no secret that the iFashion team love vintage. Nothing compares to the feeling when you find a previously treasured, beautiful garment that you know no one else will own. Just last week we compiled a ‘Best Vintage Online’ piece but already feel like we spoke too soon! Vintage Seekers is a luxury online retailer specialising in 20th century design. Not only do they have beautiful and lasting clothing from world-renowned designer collections, but a range of categories covering desirable vintage collectibles. From wine, watches and motoring to furnishings, music and photography; there is something for everyone with an interest in bygone eras and tangible history.
Recently, the website just celebrated a year online with a swanky party held at the beautiful RIBA building on Portland Place. Turning up to celebrate and support were a whole range of fashion-forward and esteemed guests, including Cara Delevingne, Bip Ling, Charlotte Dellal, Zara Martin, Sai Bennett and La Roux to name but a few. Apart from the obvious sipping on champagne and cocktails; the guests were treated to an evening of jazz music and were able to view some vintage treasures; a collection of rare Dior dresses and the late Steve McQueen’s sunglasses!
The guests turned up in their finest garments to celebrate the decadent evening. It girl and Burberry model Cara Delevingne and friend Clara Paget looked achingly stylish. Cara rocked her signature off-duty look of jeans and boots teamed with a rock’n’roll tee, hoodie and a vintage cardi thrown over for good measure. Clara rocked up in all-black, wearing an edgy maxi skirt with high split, mesh dress and shearling jacket.
Luxury shoe designer Charlotte Dellal worked a masculine vintage look in monochromatic separates. We love the black detailing on her blouse collar and the bright red boxy clutch which gave the ensemble a pop of colour. Rising star, Sai Bennett looked simply stunning in a black Vintage Seekers dress and statement gold belt. The model is starting to creep up on our fashion radar, we can’t get enough of her endless sandy locks and angelic face.
DJ and blogger-about-town Bip Ling showed us why her style status has rocketed in recent months with an edgy mix of pink fur, cameo and polka dots. Zara Martin pulled out our favourite look of the night however, wearing a metallic thread purple dress, leopard print faux fur and pointed booties! We are head over heels for this unique look.
