Vintage Festival

Step back in time at the Southbank Centre this weekend as the Vintage Festival transforms the site into a celebration of bygone eras. A very British affair, the festival will be a wonderful amalgamation of fashion, art, design, film, dance and music from the 1920s through to the 1980s.

For fashionistas with a passion for vintage and British heritage it is an absolute must. Whether the ’20s elegance or ’60s sirens excite you, fashion at the festival is guaranteed to be a decadent extravaganza. The Catwalk shows running throughout the weekend are listed on the website HERE and include the exciting unveiling of Pearl and Daisy Lowe’s A/W collection for Peacocks, promising a nostalgic journey through the 1920s.

Those wanting a hands-on experience can attend one of the many creative workshops, or, if sewing isn’t your thing, simply enjoy perusing the stalls of vintage retailers at the extensive Vintage Marketplace. As well as various others, an iFashion favourite, NANCY DEE, will be there, so don’t forget to check out the amazing pieces. Keep up appearances at the Vintage Hair & Beauty salon, as the most stylish visitors may be called to take part in the ‘Best in Show Parade’.

Besides the fashion the festival is celebrating e music, film, art , design, and dance from the 1920s to the 1980s (and maybe even a peek at the early ‘90s) that has made Britain the world’s creative and cultural hotbed.

Don’t miss out on this experience! For tickets and more information visit the site HERE.
