The girls showed that they are ruling music at this year’s V Festival. And with Rihanna, Jessie J and The Saturday’s stealing the show it was clear to see why.

Rihanna performed two sets, one in Chelmsford and one in Staffordshire, as well as joining Eminem onstage to close the festival.

The star wowed in some extremely short shorts for both sets, on Saturday she even gave a nod to us brits with a union jack crop top. She sang hits including Only Girl in the World, S&M and Umbrella to a host of screaming fans.

Jessie J also ruled the stage, despite having a broken foot. After being carried on and swapping her red lips sofa for a plastic chair, the purple haired singer wowed the crowds with some incredible vocals.

Obviously proud to be performing in Essex, she dedicated songs to her family and even managed to hop on one foot doing some air guitar!

Girl band the Saturdays also managed to impress festival goers – even though Frankie’s super flat stomach was what had many talking. The girls’ vocals stood out and impressed more than expected.
