As the internet grows we find more and more new and interesting ways to enjoy it – not least when it comes to fashion. However, it is not just online boutiques, stylish bloggers and new designers that are making online fashion what it is, sites with a bit of a difference are also always popping up in the cyber world – like for example – Goldahlia.
Goldahlia is the ultimate clothing adornment service. Established by Comet Chukura, a Designer & Stylist in her own right, it was a response to the mass hysteria of high street shops, and it’s generic design. As the new generation of customisation, the service allows you to embellish and create a new style.
So how does it work? Well you simply get in touch with the team and discuss what you want, they then send you an empty postage paid bag and you send them the item you want altered, it then comes back to you like new (for a fee of course).
The site is amazing and has lots of pictures of the details the team can add or change when it comes to your wardrobe – check it out HERE.
We asked Comet about the site and here is what she had to say: “Goldahlia was initially a small word of mouth driven service for those wary of seeing their newly bought clothing on other people and those that required tweaks and adjustments made in order to individualise their look. It is also for those who desired to add longevity to clothes that were loved but over-worn.
“We have always believed in re-designing and reviving classic old pieces, as well as new trend-driven items in accordance with season trends, and personal preference and are the luxurious solution to sustainable fashion. We have transformed countless dresses into tasselled masterpieces, (as was the trend last year) and applied reams of feathers to jackets and skirts alike (as the trend demanded). This season we have taken many orders for altering hemlines to scalloped edges and predict fur in acid / flourescent shades will be hot next season.
“We also work at various Fashion events, run by the likes of Home Made London and Buy My Wardrobe, so watch this space, as it is often the most ideal platform for clients to bring their pieces to the show and to get a free mini consultation!”
