Designers have often been known for their strange collections through the years and Helen Storey’s Primitive Streak is certainly up there with them.
The intriguing project came about when Helen teamed up with her sister Kate, a scientist, to create a collection to document the first 1000 hours of human embryonic development.
We love the collection and were excited to hear that the sisters have added two additions to it, funded by The Wellcome Trust.
The Wellcome Trust is the UK’s largest global charitable foundation and to mark its 75th anniversary, there will be a live panel debate exploring the link between science and the arts. The Storey sisters will be introducing the debate and one of their additions – the White Lung Dress – can be viewed there.
The debate – ‘Because We’re Worth It’ – , chaired by Sir John Tusa takes place at the Wellcoem Collection, 183 Euston Road, London on July 28th at 7pm.
