The Brits were the big winners at last night’s Emmy Awards. Downton Abbey claimed four gongs and Kate Winslet took away the Outstanding Lead Actress award for her role in Mildred Pierce.
Winslet also went up against the young American stars in the fashion stakes at the ceremony by choosing a red gown.
With deep reds on both Glee’s Lea Michele, who wore Marchesa, and The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev, in Donna Karen, it was a night of painting the town red!
Other stars including Christina Hendricks, who wore a Johanna Johansson gown, and Cat Deeley, who chose a Monique Lhullier dress, picked muted, pale tones and lots of embellishments.
Kelly Osbourne dazzled in a deep purple J Mendel dress and looked stunning.
Katie Holmes also made an appearance in a Calvin Klein gown, choosing a blue shade along with Glee star Dianna Agron.
