Sadly, not everybody will spend Christmas day in a warm and happy environment, surrounded by their loved ones. Recognising the huge number of young people living in London that have a much poorer quality of life, leading fashion designer Ted Baker has decided to support the London Youth charity this Christmas. A limited edition T-shirt, which retails for £35, is currently on sale at all Ted Baker London department stores and the proceeds will help support young people in the capital.
Ted Baker is joined by the mayor of London, Boris Johnson and labour party leader Ed Miliband, to back a new charity initiative called London United. The project was set up by two leading marketing service agencies and focuses on a range of fundraising events and branded goods that will be distributed to charities around London, specifically focused on helping young people.
The launch of the specially commissioned T-shirt, which is emblazoned with the project logo London United, will be the first of the London United brand partnerships and products to raise money. Sales from the T-shirt will go to the charity, London Youth; a network of 400 community organisations aimed to encourage, inspire and support young people.
Modelled by the gorgeous Tali Lennox, the T-shirt is simple and relaxed, yet carries a strong message. Times may be getting harder but by showing your support of a great cause, London really can stand united.
So head over to a Ted Baker store now to do your bit.
