Whilst wrapping up warm in the winter weather, we are already thinking ahead to spring and the colours we can’t wait to wear. The colours set to be big this spring include pale washes and pastels, whites and seafoam, along with contrasting bright and bold oranges and pinks.

There was a lot of variety on the SS12 catwalks, but one thing is for sure – it’s all about the colour. With blocking big once again, go bold and bright if you do choose to mix your looks. Of course this can be achieved through print and florals as well to really work the trend.

When it comes to lighter shades pastels are big again this year. From light blues and greens to egg and sea foam it the bold brights were contrasted with muted tones on the catwalk. Pale washes were huge so be sure to invest in some girly sorbet colours for the warmer weather.

If you like the lighter colours but want something a little edgier than pastels, why not try the metallic trend? With whites, beige and that icy tilt to the trend very in you don’t have to be too girly.
