A trend has been emerging in the fashion world that packs a double punch. There is something inexplicably cool about starlets who share some DNA, proving the hottest accessory is most definitely a stylish sibling. We take a look at our favourite sister fashionistas and find out what makes two better than one.

The Delevigne sisters have made a big impression this year. First came Poppy, with her flowing blonde locks and never ending limbs she landed modelling campaigns from Burberry to Mango. The star’s impeccable style also secured her as a regular FROW fixture at fashion weeks. Before we even knew her relation to the Delevigne clan, little sister Clara caused a stir, informally known as ‘the hot ASOS model’. Later, when Burberry came calling and Cara was splashed in glossy mags the world over as the face of the S/S 2011 campaign, we knew where her good looks had originated from. Both Delevigne sisters rock the fashion world with their off duty looks too, always look super stylish and relaxed.

Being an heiress of a major fashion house pretty much guarantees an innate sense of style and an endless supply of amazing clothes. This is exactly the case with the Missoni sisters, whose grandparents founded the fashion house. Margherita has appeared in a number of the Missoni campaigns and receives a credible amount of recognition for her personal style choices. Equally, little sister Teresa has caused a stir with the fashion press with her bohemian looks and designer talents, having her own intricate mask collections for March of Dimes Evening of Excellence.

Daughters of former Brazilian model Andrea Dellal, Alice and Charlotte were destined for amazing things. Older sibling Charlotte has her own shoe line, Charlotte Olympia (using her middle name) which caters to the luxury designer shoe market. Her personal style references old time glamour; polished, sophisticated and classic. Model sister, Alice, couldn’t be more different, rocking a rebellious ’90s wild child look with her undercut hair and edgy outfit choices. Together, they couldn’t make a bigger style impression; remaining two of our biggest style crushes to date!

It has been the year of the chadult in Hollywood, a term that does not come without some controversy. Dakota Fanning was one of the first Chadult stars on the scene in recent times, creating a lasting impression – not since Drew Barrymore have we been looking to a tween for style inspiration! The young star impressed critics with roles alongside Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington and made us coo with her cute ensembles on the red carpet. Until younger sister Elle came along and stole the fashion crown from her own sister, Dakota was the most stylish red carpet kid around. Now 13-year-old Elle often looks beyond her years when appearing along with veteran A listers at events, applauded for her style choices yet equally alarming us with just how in tune with the fashion world she is. After all, 13-year-olds should be wearing tutus and striped fingerless gloves, no?!

Of course, no power sibling list would be complete without the Olsen twins! Proving that double the DNA really does equal double the power, the Olsen’s will always be at the top of our sartorial style stars list! Mary Kate and Ashley have been gracing our screens since they were nine months old and have grown up before our eyes. Now, the girls are more known for their fashion credentials than their acting CV, designing two luxury lines, The Row and Elizabeth and James (named after their siblings.) Elizabeth, the younger Olsen sister has recently been cropping up, as one to watch in the New Year. Perhaps not as boundary pushing in the fashion stakes as MK and A, Elizabeth recently received a breakthrough Hollywood film award.
