The Glasgow Science Centre played host to a variety of fashion A-listers last night for the Scottish Fashion Awards.
Big winners of the night included-for the second time in a row- Johnathan Saunders, who was presented the prestigious Scottish Designer of the Year award by Samatha Cameron, and Henrietta Ludgate who picked up the Scottish young designer of the year. Hilary Alexander took the award for Fashion Ambassador tweeting shortly after “Heavens above, Scottish Fashion Awards just gave me Fashion Ambassador of the year award in Glasgow tonight. Total shock!”.
International Designer of the Year was awarded to the flamboyant Henry Holland for his use of Scottish fabric and the Scottish Accessory Designer of The Year- sponsored by Swarovski went to Bebaroque for their fantastic array of beautifully adorned hosiery.
The beautiful Tali Lennox, daughter of Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox was named Scottish model of the year and Rankin, who has photographed famous faces from Heidi Klum to the Queen was introduced into the Scottish Hall of Fame.
Samantha Cameron attended the event as ambassador for the British Fashion Council and wore a neon Christopher Kane dress from one of iFashion’s favourite collections this season. Dame Shirley Bassey also attended, flying the Scottish flag for fashion by wearing a Graeme Black creation.
