The SAG awards filled our red carpet void this week, as tinsel town stepped once again onto the plush red carpet in an array of dazzling frocks and jewels. It was most definitely a night for the ladies, as The Help swept up three major awards including, leading actress, best supporting actress and ensemble cast.
She may not have swept up any awards, but our best dressed of the night Zoe Salanda looked amazing in Givenchy couture. The star has always been a fan of Riccardo Tisci’s edgy and modern desgins, having worn another Givenchy couture gown back in 2010 for the Oscars. The heavily embellished white dress she chose to wear for the SAG awards fitted the star like a dream, and we love the way she languidly wore the loose draped top slightly off one shoulder. A commendable choice, especially as the fashion-forward gown was debuted a mere week ago at couture fashion week!
Another star who stepped out in SS12 haute couture was the ever radiant Natalie Portman. Choosing a safe but none-the-less beautiful gown by Giambattista Valli, the deep red colour and gathered chiffon detailing kept the gown intriguing. As ever, she paired her effortless red carpet look with a pair of glittering drop earrings from Harry Winston and a crystal detailed boxy clutch.
Other stars who deserve a nod for there red carpet attire nous include Michelle Williams for choosing to wear a bright Valentino, Tina Fey in a classic black Sergio Rossi and Jennifer Carpenter in an untraditional short, beaded and sleeveless Emilio Pucci SS12 number.
