Pudsey, the much-loved Children in Need mascot, has received a makeover this year! A selection of high-end fashion designers have been busy designing their very own fashionable Pudsey bear, in order to raise money for the cause. As part of the Designer Pudsey Collection, the bears are being auctioned on ebay, hoping to bring in some high bidders for BBC Children in Need.
The designers who worked on giving Pudsey a 2011 makeover include, Giles Deacon, Erdem, Mulberry, Henry Holland, Jonathan Saunders and PPQ! Our favourites include the Mulberry Pudsey, made from the finest Mulberry leather and a bespoke Mulberry printed bandana, the floral printed Erdem Pudsey, echoing the designer’s latest S/S look and the amazing silver leather Giles Deacon Pudsey, complete with a Swarovski elements crystal eye patch! Giles said of his design: “I used silver leather, Pudsey has a silver studded eye, and a hand stitched Swarovski Elements crystal eye patch and his fringing is made of bound leather and a plaited trim.”
At the time of writing, the Giles Deacon Pudsey has received the highest bid, a whopping £511! That is one fancy Pudsey. If you wish to make a bid on the most fashionable bear you could ever own, head to ebay now. There is just over a week left so get bidding.
