Our love of vintage is growing and that may be because the longer we keep good quality clothes the more likely it is there will be a use for them again.

Pleats, for example, not a new trend but an old one. However, 2011 has seen a massive resurgence of the style and now we are scrambling around in the bargain buckets of those thrift shops looking for that special skirt.

As the long maxi skirt has been such a key look, so has the mid-length pleated. Wearable with almost anything; Louboutins for a more elegant impact or with tights, boots and a belt for a more trendy style.

It’s not just skirts either, but dresses and tops that have been overcome with that fanned-out look.
