2011 gave us copious new talent in the arenas of music, the arts and fashion, but we are already starting to see bright new stars emerging in 2012. iFashion takes a look at the cream of the new celebrity crop.

Andrea Riseborough
Madonna’s muse and lead star in the eagerly anticipated biopic W.E (direcred by Madonna also), Andrea plays Wallis Simpson, the American Woman who prompted King Edward to abdicate his throne. Apart from being a fantastic actress, Andrea has a classic sense of style and elegant poise.

Kaya Scodelario
She might not be a newbie to our TV sets but Kaya Scodelario has certainly been making her mark as an actress, fashion muse and all-round cool girl since her stint as Effy in cult TV hit Skins. Making her film debut in 2011 as Cathy in a modern version of Wuthering Heights, the starlet looked amazing at the premiere in a vintage inspired lace gown. Definitely forging her way forward as one of the UKs brightest young fashionistas; Kaya has four new projects lined up in 2012. Watch this space.

Little Mix
If we are being totally honest, we haven’t felt this excited about an X-Factor winner since Leona, back in 2006. Little Mix are young, sassy and have powerful voices. 2012 is for the Little Muffins’ picking, so we expect some big things from the young ladies. As long as there isn’t a pair of leggings in sight, we will be right behind the girls!

Mary Charteris
Mary has been on our radar for a while now; an uber cool London girl about town, DJ, part-time model and presenter with a closet to die for. Did we also mention she is the niece of Daphne Guinness? I wonder if she gets to play couture dress up with her aunty often? We love her boho rock-chic style and can’t wait to see more of her ensembles throughout 2012.

The Pierces
Stylish singing sisters Allison and Catherine make up The Pierces. They supported Coldplay at iTunes summer Festival in 2011 and have now set their sights on superstardom with their folky rock ‘n roll music. Needless to say, their relaxed bohemian style with tough girl edge melds with their sound perfectly and we predict big things for the duo in 2012.
