A young designer at Matches will take the lead on the brand’s own label Freda.
Creative Director of Freda, Ruth Chapman, invited Osman Yousefzada to consult on the AW11 collection.
Ruth said: “This season’s collection was born of my love of Osman’s minimalist flattering silhouette.
“We worked on the essentials of every woman’s wardrobe with an ever so slight nod to the seventies; the best camel coat, the easy leather skirt, the essential turtle neck, and a modern mannish striped shirt, plus the skinny leather biker pant. These pieces will provide the basis of every woman’s effortless autumn winter dressing this winter.’
Osman added: ‘I am so excited about working with Matches on the Freda collection. What I wanted to bring to this collaboration for Autumn Winter 2011 was an easy elegance, which was still in tune with my cut and proportion in the form of a capsule wardrobe. These piecess have a timeless yet versatile character – taking you seamlessly from day to evening, and thtough the weekend’
