We were beyond excited to come across new brand House of Wilde and view pictures from the amazing ‘The Girl On The Motorcycle’ collection. The brand debuted earlier this year and immediately impressed us with nonchalant silhouettes and its bohemian vibe. Dreamy fabrics and earthy colours are at the core of the House of Wilde aesthetic, although there is a decidedly tough edge to the festival-inspired wear.
The House of Wilde girl is at once romantic and edgy, making a statement with intricate detailing, earthy patterns and an insouciant air. Behind the brand is designer Alice McCall, who injects her own distinctive personality into the effortless pieces. With more than 10 years of experience in the fashion industry, Alice was headhunted in 2003 by counter culture label Buddhist Punk and went on to produce her own label in 2004. She has also worked on a notable collaboration with fellow Australian designer duo Sass and Bide and Topshop, injecting an inimitable Australian edge into all her garments. Her new venture, House of Wilde, will be available exclusively from the online store as of next week. Best of all, the clothing retails from between just £49-£149!
Expect tie dye palazzo pants, floaty sheer skirts/dresses to quilted jackets and cosy sheepskin gilets. We love the earthy and volcanic tones of the ikat two pieces, cropped T-shirts and billowing harem trousers. Dresses have a distinctively more feminine feel, babydoll shapes to silk button downs or ruffled translucent layering. As with every piece in the collection, a bohemian spirit runs through the core, meaning each unique piece looks like it has been made with the utmost love and care. Crochet panelling, sequin embellishments and latticework are just some of the details that make the House of Wilde designs look so amazing. We certainly will be checking the website all next week when the collection goes live!
