Milan Fashion Week is leaving us weak at the knees this year… dare we say even more so than LFW.
Donatella Versace unveiled her latest offering on Friday. It was full of the usual sex appeal: white leather dresses, studs and perspex platforms. Evening wear had splits to the thigh and cut-outs galore so if you choose to rock Versace next season, you best be willing to show some skin.
Bottega Veneta set Twitter alight on Saturday. With holiday looks aplenty, Thomas Maier brought an urban edge with fringing and silk. Bohemian styles came to the forefront with loose fits and dark colours for light clothing.
At the Jil sander show, Raf Simons had everyone talking about his take on the simple shirt dress. Simons played with simple shapes and textures layered and re-worked into something new. With full skirts cinched in at the waist and lots of prints and bright colours, there was so much to see and get excited about.
Marni started Sunday with pastels colours and a play on the ’60s looks, but with a grown up feel. With floral prints and snowflake patterns there were lots of mesmerising prints and fun.
Fruit and veg were the themes for Moschino and Dolce and Gabbana, with prints that followed a similar take to that of 2011′s SS. Scarlett Johansson also had everyone talking as she took her place in the FROW.
Last night Christopher Kane gave another sporty look for Versus with a basketball court and everything! With cheerleader style skirts, the athletic theme continued through the collection with hoodies and pastel colours.
