On Tuesday came the news that Stella McCartney would show a one-off collection at London Fashion Week next year and now Alexander McQueen’s sister line McQ will also show at the February fashion week for the first time.
2012 is shaping up to be a great year for London, with the Olympics and the BFC schedule looking better than ever before. The McQ line, which is predominantly denim based, will preview the A/W 2012-13 collection at LFW to coincide with the opening of a stand-alone store in swanky Mayfair. Sarah Burton currently oversees McQ, which is designed by Pina Ferlisi. Ferlisi has been credited with successfully injecting a new lease of life into the sister label, adding a shoe and handbag line for the resort 2012 collection.
We certainly can’t wait to see what the collection has to offer for next winter!
