The Swedish fashion brand once again presented an amazing collection on the third day of LFW. A full house of over 800 guests, including Florence Welch, Mike Skinner (from The Streets), Jamie XX, blogger Hanneli Mustaparta and French Vogue Editor-in-Chief Emmanuelle Alt all turned up to see the cult label’s AW12 offering.

Known for nailing the perfect off duty looks, Acne shook things up slightly for next season, experimenting with structure, defined waists and voluminous shapes. Belts were a key accessory, super big and worn high around the waist over inflated jackets and bulbous shirts. Regarding colours, rich rust red and maroons ruled the show, adding further drama to the boxy collection that bordered on regimented restriction in so much as the cinched in waists and sky high heels made the models move almost robotically. It defined a new look for Acne.

Immediately following the show, backstage was thrown open and the guests continued to drink Negroni cocktails that were served up by ACNE wearing waiters. DJ sets from the Young Turks and Misty Rabbit cemented the party mood and the food and drink flowed into the early hours. ACNE may have a new look but that doesn’t make it any less cool.
