As we say farewell to LFW, it’s time to look at the top 10 moments this year, which will no doubt be talked about for a good few weeks to come!
P Middy
Pippa making her FROW debut at the Temperley London show was definitely one for the list. Sister to probably the most talked about women in Britain right now, Pippa held her own in a rather lovely Temperley dress and cute ankle boots.
Olivia Palermo – FROW fashion Queen
Olivia Palermo seemed to be everywhere this week and wowed us with her flawless FROW outfits and ever glossy mane. If we had to crown one FROW Queen, Olivia would reign true.
Autumnal Spring for Burberry
You would be forgiven for thinking the Burberry Prorsum show was an A/W collection, as Christopher Bailey seemingly rejected the idea of a summer next year. Nonetheless, the collection was beautiful as ever, showcasing a rich autumnal colour palette that will have us wishing for A/W year round.
Late Start for Schwab
With Anna Dello Russo in the front row, the eagerly anticipated Marios Schwab show ran a full 45 minutes late. A huge crowd turned up, some crouching on the steps to catch a glimpse of the collection and luckily Schwab did not disappoint. The 45 minute wait that was well worth it.
Teary eyes at Kane show
The new Christopher Kane collection was so beautiful it nearly moved some audience members to tears. The subtle embellishment, origami folds and floral applique resounded with a springtime romance. A fine achievement and highly applauded, if you hadn’t heard of Christopher Kane before, you will have now.
Moss at Mulberry
The playful Mulberry show, likened to Brighton pier, certainly drew in the stars. Kate Moss took a FROW seat in double denim next to Kristen Stewart. Stewart, who admitted to Vogue she doesn’t normally attend shows, was particularly enamoured with the new collection.
Meadham Kirchhoff: The most theatrical show
Like a child’s dress up box, the Kirchhoff show was full of life and vibrance. From the FROW, even the likes of Anna Wintour were seen smiling as models strutted down the catwalk in candy floss colours and neon brights before breaking into a cancan dance. It was such a fantastic theatrical show, you would be forgiven for forgetting to properly look at the clothes.
Burberry: The most star studded show
Models of the moment Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn strutted down the catwalk. Meanwhile, Sienna Miller, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Gemma Arterton and Kayne West sat FROW. It must have been hard to know where to look!
Peaches
The party child appeared FROW at Temperley London, PPQ and Sass and Bide. It wasn’t her outfits that got the tabloids talking, however, as rumours surrounding her suddenly svelte frame started.
Giles Extravaganza
The inspiration behind the collection was Swan Lake, which Giles captured perfectly in an amalgamation of fabric and feathers. The battle between good and evil was played out as angelic pearly whites were followed by blood reds, blacks and swan headwear Lady Gaga will have next on her wish list.
