Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton supports British designers on first day of Canada tour.
Congratulating Canadian Forces around the world, the Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton celebrates Canada Day with impeccable style in Ottawa, Canada.
Continuing to lead the fashion pack, Kate’s first foreign trip as a member of the Royal family nods to Canadian and British designers alike. She started her tour wearing a navy jacket by Canadian label Smythe Les Vestes, a dress by London based French designer Roland Mouret and a handbag by traditional British label Mulberry, proving that she will continue to fly the flag for British designers while abroad.
On landing in Ottawa Middleton had changed into a navy blue Erdem dress (pictured) from the designer’s pre-spring 2011 collection, with nude L.K Bennett shoes. Erdem is a fitting choice for Kate, who is careful to get the balance right between Canadian and British designers. Erdem is leading the way for the British fashion industry, and the designer was born in Montreal, Canada.
Kate has taken 30 outfits to Canada for her nine day tour, meaning we’ll see up to three fashion changes a day. Royal aides have said that Kate will continue to promote the British clothes industry, and we can’t wait to see what will come next (we’ve already spotted a maple leaf hat in her 3rd outfit of the day). Stay tuned.
