As the second series of Made in Chelsea came to an end we got the chance to have a chat with one of its stars Francesca (Cheska) Hull. Best friends with Ollie and Binky, Cheska is one of our favourites and we were extremely excited to talk life in Chelsea, future plans and, of course, fashion!
How have you found life since Made in Chelsea?
As you can imagine, life has changed quite dramatically in the last year – I think for everyone involved in the project. It is all very exciting and I don’t regret anything and I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. Life is different and it can be difficult doing normal things sometimes, but I suppose that is the price you pay for putting your life on TV. However, it is all good and I am very lucky to be in this position.
Will you be filming another series?
Yes. We found out last week that series three will be commissioned by Channel 4 and we will start filming in February and it will be aired around spring time.
In the first series you were writing a blog for a magazine, are you still pursuing writing/journalism?
At the moment I am working in PR and events, as well as doing the show. I am working with a fashion brand called Amelia’s Attic which is a boutique owned by my mother, so we are working on that together which is a lot of fun and very exciting. I have always had a real passion for PR, particularly writing and therefore I am concentrating on that at the moment.
What is your favourite thing about living in London?
My favourite thing about living in London, particularly the area I live in, is the fact that it is so green but you can easily go into the city. You can go to the park with your dog, go for brunch with your girlfriends and then go out to a nice restaurant in the evening – there is so much on your doorstep.
We at iFashion specialise in online fashion – which are your favourite online shops?
I like ASOS because it offers great clothes at really great prices. It is high street but you can still get boutique-style clothing if you really look. Then there is Net-A-Porter which has lots of fabulous designer stuff, but the clothes can be quite expensive so more of a treat really.
What are your favourite pieces to wear this A/W?
I am quite hippy chic with my style so for me it is all about tassels. I recently had feature extensions put into my hair, which might sound crazy but they look great.
Do you have a favourite designer and if so who?
I love shoes so I would have to say Christian Louboutin as he is amazing and creates beautiful shoes. Sometimes, when I am feeling a bit down, I will go into the store and just walk around to make myself feel better as you can’t but smile when you see his shoes. There are a lot of small boutique brands that I love, like Jones & Jones do great dresses and Austique sells lots of things that you can’t get anywhere else – so it is great going there knowing that no one else will have the same thing.
You are involved with table7.com, can you tell me a little bit about it and what made you want to get involved?
table7.com is a brilliant service as it offers access to high quality restaurants with amazing reductions of 20 to 30% across the total bill, including drinks and a la carte menus.
I love to eat out and because I am a bit of a rubbish cook, I tend to eat out at least four times a week and table7.com is a Godsend as I am able to eat out more often in high-end restaurants without having to worry about the bill.
It is also so simple to use. You go to table7.com, choose the restaurant you want to eat at, choose the date and time, turn up to the restaurant and have a fabulous dining experience. You don’t have to take a printout or anything to the restaurant as they know that you have booked through table7.com and the discount is discreetly on the bill – so really great for dates.
What are your plans for the future?
Well at the moment we have another series of the show planned, which will take about seven months to film and therefore, I will be concentrating on that but also I will be helping my mother with her boutique doing some public relations. I am also doing some charity work for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, because I am dog crazy. But really I am just concentrating on enjoying everything I am doing at the moment as it is really exciting being on the show. I would really love to do more TV – hopefully Strictly Come Dancing will have me next year – that would be amazing.
