Celebs love to change their look, but sometimes a different manicure just doesn’t make the big impression they were going for. The best way to make a fresh new statement is of course to tamper with your crowning glory. Cheryl Cole recently lopped off her brunette lengths in favour of a blonde asymmetrical bob, something the iFashion team were initially dubious about. However, it is fair to say the caramel crop has grown on us, along with the more relaxed side of post X-Factor Cheryl.

Style devotee and Hollywood actress Kate Bosworth is a truly free spirit. Always fresh faced, the star’s Nordic blonde locks compliment her pale skin and ethereal beauty. Showing us just how to make green dip dye look cool at a recent Coldplay gig in LA, Bosworth rocked a hipster trend while maintaining her impeccable sense of style. The dye has been rinsed out since, but we are still searching Boots for that exact shade of green rinse!

Hermione Granger blossomed on our screens from a frizzy haired bookworm to a sophisticated and intelligent young woman. In much the same way, Emma Watson also blossomed. Over the years she has become a classic style icon and role model for many young girls. After the final Harry Potter film, Emma made the most dramatic statement of all. She cut off her sun kissed lengths in favour of a Mia Farrow-esque pixie crop. Not many could get away with such a daring hairstyle, but Emma’s poise and beauty carry it off perfectly.

Pixie Lott is another one to go for a dramatic chop in what seems to be an effort to look more grown up. On releasing her latest album the pop princess went for an edgier style to go with her new sexy sound. We are not so sure about the in between look and think she should go just the whole way and get a pixie crop… get it!?

Finally, another star that has shocked us by going over to the dark side is TOWIE’s Sam Faiers. With her new GracieEve collection due to be launched in House of Fraser stores this month, we think this new sophisticated look is just the ticket for the business dabbling young lady! However, she does not seem so sure – telling friends on the show that some have liked it and some have wanted her blonde again!
