The Givenchy SS12 catwalk was definitely one of our favourite shows for the upcoming season. Gisele stole the limelight in skin tight pants an oversized blazer and a giant shark tooth pendant, before closing the show in the most amazing green sequin tux jacket. Her prominent appearance of course spurred on speculation about Ricardo Tisci replacing Mariacarla Boscono as the face of Givenchy, with rumours circulation on Twitter that Gisele had already been shot for the labels SS12 campaign. Additionally, Givenchy was the only show Gisele did for the season.

Now, after a couple of months of speculation, campaign images have been leaked, confirming the Brazilian beauty is indeed the new face of Givenchy. You can view the image here, which sees her wearing a black laser cut leather dress from the SS12 collection while maintaining a sultry demeanour leaning against a black pick-up truck. Flanked by two rather handsome suited and booted male models, you can also see some rather stylish black surfboards in the boot.

While we will have to wait to view more of the images; we can’t help but think this campaign is genius. Amalgamating Gisele’s laid back, surf-chic aesthetic with Givenchy’s dark and moody revelation, we can’t wait to see other images which will be released early next year. Who said summer means sunshine, especially if you are based in the UK!
