During the SS12 shows at the various fashion weeks around the world, many designers chose to go sporty with their collections. Sportyluxe is very much the look we can look forward to, but where does this leave the actual sports brands?
Well, veteran sports clothing producer and iconic brand Adidas have come up with a way to join in the celebration of sports and fashion by teaming up with flamboyant designer Jeremy Scott to add his own creative touch to traditional adidas silhouettes and footwear. The new line is playful, stylish and comfy; bringing a touch of fun to the often tedious task of working out.
For A/W 2011, the collection is influenced by the urban jungle and the military. We adore the camouflage sequin mini dress, as model by Charlotte Free and the vibrant neon colours featured on sweaters. The JS wing shoes are the perfect solution to the boring black pump and the wing also features on a pair of jeans, injecting some much needed sass into wardrobe staples.
The collection is made up of 36 pieces and 12 shoe styles for both men and women. Prices range from £50 to £700 and can be purchased online and at Addidas Originals stores worldwide. Recently, a preview of the Jeremy Scott for adidas Originals S/S 2012 collection has been released. Americana patterns and bold vibrant colours feature heavily, as a homage to American pop culture. Never before have we been so excited about the prospect of hitting the gym!
