Perhaps the greatest honour for a starlet come autumn each year is a FROW invitation for fashion week.

A golden ticket for the sartorially savvy; sitting on the front row not only means the best view in the house, but also gaining the unofficial, yet still highly coveted, title of influential fashionista. Of course, with a front row invite comes the pressure of actually being the best dressed guest. NYFW began last week and as usual we were just as interested in the FROW’s outfits as we were the actual S/S collections.

Firm favourites Alexa Chung and Kelly O did not disappoint by wearing outfits true to their original style, while young Hollywood actresses Emma Roberts and Ashley Tisdale proved their place among the fash pack. Newcomer to the FROW, Glee’s Lea Michelle put her best foot forward by keeping it simple yet stylish. With so many FROW darlings to choose from, iFashion had a hard time picking our top 5 best dressed from NYFW.

Lea Michelle embraced the ladylike trend which perfectly suited her figure in a full bodied skirt and fitted black tee at the Jason Wu show. The safe yet sweet look was topped off with pointy court shoes and a perfect emerald clutch bag. Whitney Port also dressed very much like a lady at the Luca Luca show. Wearing a gorgeous mustard and olive colour palette, Whitney couldn’t have been further away from her LA roots as she embraced a chic and polished NY style. We commend the choice, which could look frumpy on anyone other than the reality star.

Emma Roberts has been toting up fashion points over this past year and her recent FROW appearances have made sure she is here to stay. Peacock tones and pleats looked gorgeous with her darker hair at the Jill Stuart show. Old time front row girls and fellow Brits Alexa and Kelly also made our best dressed list. After her much publicised weight loss last year, Kelly Osbourne has continued to look amazing and her Zac Posen front row appearance shows she is keeping healthy. However, queen of our fashion hearts, Alexa, has yet again breezed to the top spot. We are head over heels with her cute cut out neckline dress teemed with the now infamous Miu Miu glitter heels. Perfection personified.
