Luxury women’s brand Nicole Farhi has been sold again. A mere two years on from when OpenGate Capital bought a stake for £5 million; private equity group Kelso Place Asset Management, has now acquired the label. This move is expected to put Farhi in a good position for a new wave of business expansion. Kelso Place previously held stakes in British luxury leather goods company Smythson.
Nicole Farhi will remain as creative director, which is good news for Farhi fans. Kelso Place have pledged to inject up to £15 million into the brand over the next five years, with a heightened focus on Asian growth. Currently sold in 40 countries worldwide, the new expansion plan can only mean a brighter future for Farhi.
