Dark Days Make-Up

Traditionally, autumn is a time to put away the bright make-up and make way for some darker, richer shades, and this year is no different.

Whether it’s STRANGEBEAUTIFUL’S Library of Colour nail polishes (inspired by Indian ink, river water, and apparently, even a healing bruise) or Clinique’s Black Collection, this Autumn’s make up is deliciously dark with a splash of colour; expect shades of black, brown and grey shot with hints of purple, navy and green.

When it comes to foundation, it’s all about flawless, poreless perfection. “Dewy, semi matte, translucent, yet flawless complexions will be the make up must have look for the autumn,” says Chase Aston, international make up artist at The Body Shop. “It’s all about skin that looks alive and radiant with just a hint of powder to tone down any excess shine.”

For those dark days we suggest some mean and moody shades with a twist. Try:
