Topshop have done it yet again, providing the UK high street with the most stylish Christmas collection we have ever seen. The Christmas 2011 preview is forcing us to draft out our Christmas lists already! Not only do we love individual pieces but the amazing styling has us wanting to rock these looks right now, from head to toe!

The velvet overload works due to the dress and jacket being different shades. Layering a feather skirt under the dress gives it an interesting hemline, while introducing another texture to the ensemble. Patterned tights feature, keeping legs warm, whilst looking super chic.

Take style notes from Topshop and layer a long sleeve tee under a glam evening dress. Side splits look sexy but are sometimes a little skimpy for winter. Keep in the warmth with a pair of patterned tights which not only looks chic but adds a unique touch to the combination

Try a fetish-inspired look with a sumptuous mix of textures and fabrics. Black doesn’t have to be boring! Layer a leather mini dress over a knitted sweater and throw over a fur stole. Finish the look with some glitter tights and shoes, et voilà. Party ready.

A white summer maxi can easily be made A/W appropriate with some clever layering. A biker jacket and some embellished tights will make the maxi look edgy and more importantly keep you warm!

Layering tops with different necklines works particularly well with a monochromatic edge. Subtle colours are introduced with the cream skirt and the royal blue shoes. We love this look which is party perfect with a textured skirt or made office appropriate by teaming the tops with a pencil and mannish brogues.
