And our Boutique of the Week this week goes to Shampalove. Flora and Ruby, two Rome-based, fashion-loving friends, started Shampalove initially as a blog. They wanted a place to write about cool and fashionable things that girls the world over would enjoy to read about. This year, they opened up a webshop with the same name, to sell the kind of clothes they love and blog about. The Shampalove aesthetic is dark and edgy; plenty of leather studs and sky-high heels. In short, it is for girls who are interested in unique and underground subcultures and love to dress with attitude!

All the clothes sold on Shampalove are designed by Flora and Ruby. Flora has worked as a production manager in Asia for more than six years, while Ruby previously worked in London as a stylist and fashion assistant. The girls’ designs are influenced by catwalk, seasonal trends and their own unique personal style. Buttery soft leathers, asymmetrical cuts and flowing chiffon feature heavily in the admittedly dark and gothic inspired collection (perfect for the current fetish trend!).

The website ships internationally (free shipping within Europe) and Shampalove is continuing to expand, starting with the distribution of the line to retail stores in Italy, the UK, Japan, Romania, Spain and the USA. Currently, Topshop in Oxford Circus are stocking the range.
