An A/W favourite, the pleated pleather mini-skirt can be updated to work into S/S with the right styling. Blogger Rosie from Rosie Glow gave her pleather skirt the edge with some Breton stripes, a pork pie and some grey open toe wedges. Adding a punchy coral blazer is the perfect nod to S/S, while the tights keep the look A/W appropriate.

Give it a Sporty Edge
The sports luxe trend is huge for SS12, and updating wardrobe classics with new-season key pieces is a good way to keep your look fresh. The lovely Nicola from Nicola Claire rocked her pleated leather mini with a sporty airtex top from ASOS. The neon piping on the top really gives the ensemble a pop of colour and a big bag and platform boots keeps everything on the right side of the track and field.

Bring Some Sunshine
Last week our blogger trends feature was all about how yellow was the colour to be seen in this season. Stunning actress and blogger, Ashley from Ashley-ringmybell.blogspot.com/ recently paired her pleather pleats with an acid yellow sweater. Her purple Chanel bag is another cheery twist; demonstrating how to subtly colour-block without it being too overpowering.

The best way to wear the pleated mini through trans-seasonal times is by throwing on a cosy sweater.
