Blogger Style – Nanne from Fashiable

This week, iFashion meets style blogger Nanne, from the Netherlands. The sweet 17-year-old has a sense of style that seems way beyond her years, mixing standout vintage pieces with tailored and classic picks from the high street. We chat to the budding lifestyle and design student about Rumi Neely, spring trends and of course online shopping. Don’t forget to pay Nanne’s blog a visit at Fashiable.nl

What inspired you to start Fashiable?
When I started with Fashiable I was on a forum for teenage girls and some of them already had a blog. I loved to see how they devoted their blogs to their interest of fashion. Back then I was already a fashion fanatic and I wanted to share my love for fashion with other people.

How would you describe your signature style?
I would describe my style as quite simple but always with a touch of vintage, denim or leather.

What is the greatest reward that blogging has brought you?
That is to be able to meet all the other great bloggers! My favourite event so far has to be Amsterdam Fashion Week. That was a lot of fun and a very special experience.

Do you think blogging has any negatives?
Yes. There will always be people who don’t like your style or think it’s weird to have a blog. But you just have to be bigger than that.

Who is your favourite fashion blogger and why?
Maybe it’s not the most original pick, but that must be Rumi Neely of fashiontoast.com. She always has gorgeous photos and her style is similar to mine.

If you had 10 minutes to get ready for a blogger meet up, what would you put together?
That’s a good question, because sometimes I can debate for ages over what to wear. I will definitely wear one of my hats and give my lips a nice colour. When I’m really in a rush I tend to put on some denim shorts with a nice blouse and an outstanding cardigan.

iFashion is all about shopping online. What are your favourtie online boutiques?
Romwe always has beautiful clothing and accessories, but I have never ordered anything from there. I also like Asos and H&M (bit standard haha) and I buy the rest of my clothes in stores. But to be honest, I check out different online shops and boutiques almost everyday!

What is the most loved item in your wardrobe and why?
That must be one of my vintage items! My latest purchase which I’m really proud of is my new blue velvet blouse. When it comes to accessories, I love my tote bag from Zara. It’s just perfect and goes with every look.

What S/S trends are you most looking forward to wearing?
Pastels! I am also glad to see that all the lively colours are making a return, especially the colour orange which is going to be really hot this summer. Secretly I haven’t got any orange items in my closet right now, so will be on the lookout. Besides orange you can’t miss out on silver and gold! I have some metallic items in my closet right now!

Finally, where do you see yourself in three years’ time?
I hope I will have my own place by then and to study Lifestyle and Design!
