As 2011 draws to a close, we catch up with our favourite blogger from the style series. Giselle from Style of a Fashionista never fails to impress with her effortlessly chic wardrobe. One of our very first Blogger Style interviewees, Giselle set the tone for the following weeks, proving that blogging is very much the way forward in 2012. We caught up with the lovely lady once again to see just how this year has treated her.
Hi Giselle, the team at iFashion has nominated you as our favourite blogger of the year. How does it feel?
Freaking amazing thank you guys. I have read all your blogger interviews and they are all fabulous so to be picked is such an honour. I literally let out a little shriek on the bus when I read your email.
What have you been up to since we last spoke?
I have had a new tattoo on my finger after wanting one for ages and finally found the right design. I have more planned for the new year. I must sound so boring, but nothing much has really changed apart from that I work in retail so I am crazy busy at the moment and really looking forward to Christmas! It is my favourite time of the year.

Would you say your style has changed at all, apart from obviously wearing warmer things?
My style has not really changed. I have become addicted to red lipstick; it really brightens up grey days and the beanie has become a staple in my wardrobe. I am trying to layer more like Nicola Claire. She is the Queen of layering so I have been taking inspiration from her. Layering is also perfect for this crazy weather we have been having, especially as it has only just started getting really cold.
What do you want to be wearing come S/S 2012?
I am going to try and experiment! I am thinking floaty skirts with knits and printed tees when the weather gets warmer. It is so easy to throw on a pair of denim cut offs with everything though. I love that metallic and white is going to be big for SS12 so this will feature somewhere I am sure.
So tell us your secret. How do you find the time to post every or nearly every day with such a busy job?
It is difficult, especially this time of year. I always take my pictures before I head out and then I normally write the post that evening to post the next day. Sometimes I schedule my posts- this is such a great tool when I know I have a busy week ahead. I also like to do filler, but I try not to do too many a week. These will be on things that I like or fashion items I think my readers would be interested in. I do wish I had more time to do location pictures but I just don’t have the time.
Our readers can’t wait to see more of your amazing A/W outfits. Can you talk us through four of your favourite ensembles?
-Third Picture Down: I love this outfit! I wore this ice skating. I wanted an outfit that was practical but still captured my style and this seemed perfect; the faux fur kept me warm and the leggings were practical for skating in.
-Picture below: I have become a little bit addicted to this beanie, especially as the weather has been so windy. It has proven to be the perfect head wear, it keeps my hair in place and doesn’t blow off my head. The red jeans are an AW addition and I love them teamed with leopard print.
-Second Picture Down: This is the only jacket I have purchased this AW and I have worn it so much! It pretty much goes with everything and being a huge fan of the biker jacket, this seemed like the perfect winter alternative. Additionally, it keeps me super warm! The shoes are Jeffrey Campbell Litas. I finally got my hands on a pair!
-Top picture: I mentioned in my last interview that I wanted to do daytime sparkle for AW11 and these boots were on my wishlist. I teamed them with pleather trousers, always my winter staple.

Finally, are there any more online boutiques that have caught your eye recently?
I came across NYLA Boutique while watching X Factor of all things. Amelia Lily was wearing a spiked cuff and I found out it was from their store they stock amazing US brands that we would not be able to get our hands on this side of the pond. I have been using Shop Style it is amazing; you put in what you are looking for in their search engine and it will list every item available online. Marlow Market is a recent find they stock the best denim shorts. Modekungen is also a great European shop, I want everything they stock!
Thanks Giselle and we wish you lots of success in 2012!
