Last week, the best dressed stars were anything but boring. One of this season’s hottest trends, jewel tones, came out in full force on the red carpet as the perfect party alternative to a LBD. With sparkling emerald greens to bright orange, the A list dazzled in an array of enviable frocks.

The girl that has come out of nowhere onto best dressed lists across the world is Emma Stone. Her last name certainly proved fitting as she dazzled like a semi-precious jewel in a gorgeous orange maxi at the American Museum of Natural History Gala.

At the Virgin Media Shorts Awards, former skins actress Kaya Scodelario worked jewel tones and colourblocking into one very fashionable ensemble. Her look was toned down with black ankle boots and a black blazer, in typical effortless Kaya style, with just a hint of grunge.

If any colour is the new black this A/W, it is emerald, as both Gwyneth Paltrow and Zoe Saldana proved at the Bambi awards in Germany and the Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas respectively. Dripping in sequins, Gwynnie gleamed in a plunging Ellie Saab number and adorned her neck in Adler diamond knotted necklace. The title of best dressed this week, however, goes to Zoe. Also in Ellie Saab, we can’t fault the cut, length or colour of this amazing dress!

Finally our very own X-Factor judge did us proud on Saturday night when she side-stepped the predictable gown and went for the ultra sexy trouser suit. 10/10!
