Some of the most popular segments on iFashion are the Boutique of the Week, New Boutiques and Fashion Passport features that regularly source the very best locations in the virtual world. Fashion fanatics, always on the lookout for amazing new brands often use the internet as a personal shopping mall. With the surge of style bloggers, the influence of the internet on fashion is becoming more and more apparent, not to mention the increase in e-commerce websites catering to a fashion thirsty public. Later on we will award a previous Boutique of the Week with our first Boutique of the Year title, but until then, here is the pick of the rest.
Nasty Gal:
Nasty Gal featured on our fashion passport a few months back and since then, if possible, has become even better. The site has had a facelift, making searching for products easier than before, not to mention you can now shop in GBP (yay)! We would personally congratulate the owner and stylist Sophia Amoruso, for creating what can only be described as every ‘young hip thing’s’ dream shopping destination in just five short years. Being a Nasty Gal never felt so good.
Monki:
It’s no secret that we have a huge Scandinavian fascination at iFashion, so the fact Monki, an uber cool Swedish brand opened up an online shop earlier this year made us very excited indeed. Cool, contemporary clothing for girls who want to look effortlessly stylish-we can’t get enough of the Monki aesthetic. Visit the online shop which delivers to the UK or pop into the amazing ‘sea of scallops’ themed concession store in Selfridegs to see what the Monki we are on about.
Yayer:
Yayer is a great UK-based boutique that started out as a little known secret on our fashion radar. Sisters Harriet and Charlotte Walters started the website selling short runs of hand tailored, vintage inspired garments mixed in with covetable vintage pieces. Now, the store has started to grow in notoriety, offering select boutique labels alongside their own pieces. It is one of the best online destinations for one off vintage items that can be easily adapted into a modern and fashion forward wardrobe. We predict even bigger things for Yayer in 2012 so watch this space!
Not Just A Label:
Supporting pioneering designers of contemporary fashion, Not just A Label is a pretty special shopping destination. It is the leading platform for showcasing the work of the stars of tomorrow; cutting edge, emerging designers, who gain exposure while taking advantage of selling pieces through the free of cost website. We love looking at all the amazing, high-design driven clothing, accessories and jewellery that can be purchased on the website. Truly unique, we can’t get enough of the forward thinking aesthetic. Could this be a glimpse at the future of fashion?
