With the sun shining (most of the time) and holiday season approaching fast, my mind is on one thing… getting that bikini body!
Before I step out on the sand, I want to make sure everything is as it should be… legs toned and waxed, skin perfectly smooth, stomach as flat as possible!
I always find myself asking questions such as does the latest fitness DVD really work? Does that cream I heard about really do what it says? Is waxing really that painful? So I am on a quest to see for myself and I will be taking you on my journey.
I am not by any means overweight but I am by every means out of shape! So here is how I intend to get in shape – so I hope it gives you some tips, or at the very least makes you laugh at how terribly I am doing!
1. Eat more healthily
I am a junk food junky – McDonalds, KFC, crisps, digestive biscuits… ooh it makes me hungry just reading it. So no more – it’s fruit, crackerbread, nuts (not salted) and boiled potatoes – not so hungry now!
2. Try out a new workout regime
I have just ordered the Tracy Anderson mat workout DVD in the post and am eagerly awaiting it. I will let you know if I manage to transform myself and redefine my muscles as she promises! After seeing Gwyneth Paltrow, Tracy’s best student, in Glee recently I have very high hopes!
3. Go to the gym
I have actually joined one and will be working out. I am currently more motivated by not feeling screwed out of my monthly fee and getting my money’s worth as opposed to actually being at the gym but, hey, whatever gets me there!
4. Waxing
I am not looking forward to this but I want those perfect legs people keep banging on about. I have never had a waxing treatment and so I will be giving the low down on the best and worst bits (though I think that should be pretty obvious).
5. Skin Perfection
Finally I will be finding out what creams and potions actually work, there are so many – oils, toning creams, fake tans, oh where do I begin?
So follow my progress and we’ll see what happens!
