We love it when a British star makes it big time in the USA.

Alexa Chung, the darling of Brit cool is again the face of American brand Madewell, this time for the A/W 11 collection.

Decidedly edgier than the earlier collection, which showcased an array of ditsy tea dresses; the new offerings are inspired by seventies funk and nineties cool.

As per usual, the Alexa aesthetic (that’s super laid back casual cool for those who don’t know) is injected into the pieces. Cute collard blouses, retro prints, practical sweaters and teeny tiny shorts. We happen to love them all, but perhaps will invest in a thick pair of 70 denier tights to wear with the shorts!

We can’t wait for the collection to come online and then maybe we too can bag a guy in a band! Oh, who are we kidding? Alexa could wear a bin liner and still look amazing.
