The Celebrity-designer collaboration has long been scrutinised by the fashion press. Some collections have been applauded; Mary Kate and Ashley’s contemporary lifestyle brand Elizabeth and James for one as well as their very different brand The Row. Others have not been so successful- we won’t mention them (uhum Heidi Montag).
Each Week, iFashion will bring you the latest on Celebrity-Model turned designer collections and give you our verdict.
First up is Texan beauty Erin Wasson.
Erin started her career as a model and has graced the covers of various high fashion magazines as well as walked the runways for some of the biggest designers in the world. Chosen for the campaigns of many global brands Erin has established herself as a celebrity in her own right.
No stranger to designing, Erin launched Low Luv, a jewellery range, in 2008. Available all around the world, Erin models for the collection of beautiful pieces of gold and silver.
Now, French lifestyle brand Zadig and Voltaire have collaborated with the grunge queen for an A/W capsule collection. It won’t be available till September but we are already getting excited!
The collection will be available on Net-a-Porter.com and on first viewing of the lookbook, promises a great selection of 70s inspired pieces. True to the rock ‘n roll concept of the brand, the offerings include a studded suede jacket, leather pants and shearling vest. We are going to start saving the pennies!
